Alkami Technology Plano, Texas

Plano-based Alkami Technology has expanded by two additional floors within Plano's Granite Park to help support the fast-growing technology company.The provider of online and mobile banking solutions for U.S. financial firms has leased an additional two floors totaling about 55,000 square feet of additional office space, taking its total footprint at 5601 Granite Parkway in Plano's Granite Park to about 90,000 square feet.As part of the expansion, Alkami Technology renewed its previous square footage in the building. In the next few years, the software firm plans to "significantly expand its employee count," from its existing corporate workforce of about 275 employees.

Mercedes-Benz Grapevine, Texas

Mercedes-Benz’s two-building complex houses the Learning Performance Center (LPC) and Parts Distribution Center (PDC). The LPC serves as the regional training center for Mercedes-Benz mechanics. Various “classrooms” are staged for the various training modules and open to shop areas where participants can practice their new skills. The building also houses training and conference rooms, open offices and a lounge area. The PDC is primarily a warehouse and distribution center that receives international parts shipments, which are distributed to local dealerships. It also includes private offices, training and conference rooms, and a break room.

My Possibilities Plano, Texas

My Possibilities (MP), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, revealed Phase 1 of its capital campaign at their annual gala on Saturday, April 29th. The 3-year $25 million campaign will expand its capacity to serve a larger percentage of the more than 250,000 individuals with a cognitive disability over the age of 5 that reside in the DFW area.  Representing a population that is roughly the size of the entire city of Plano, the educational opportunities available to adults with special needs is sadly lacking once these individuals phase out of the public education system.
