Project Scope
Tactical Fleet relocated its headquarters to Dallas, TX, transforming an existing industrial building through extensive renovations to create nearly 100,000 square feet of climate-controlled space dedicated to showcasing a vast collection of exotic and luxury vehicles. The facility not only sells, stores, and wraps vehicles on-site but also features offices and waiting areas designed to cater to high-end clientele. The MEP design for this project involved the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure reliable operations to preserve the quality of the vehicles and provide a comfortable environment for occupants.
Services
Mechanical Design:
This fully conditioned warehouse was designed to ensure year-round climate control, with the ability to manage temperature and humidity levels. The building contains a NO/CO2 monitoring and exhaust system to maintain a safe environment, particularly important given the constant movement of vehicles in and out of the building. The high-end design of the lobby and office areas required minimal ductwork, yet still prioritized occupant comfort.
Electrical Design:
The electrical design included coordination with the local utility company to upgrade the existing electrical service, and an entirely new electrical distribution was designed to serve the space. High-end LED lighting fixtures per the architectural plans were provided throughout the lobby, offices, and sales areas. Power coordination was required for vehicle lifts and trickle chargers in the storage areas, as well as vehicle wrap equipment adjacent to the sales floor.
Plumbing Design:
AOS Engineering connected to the existing sanitary and water infrastructure to serve multiple restrooms across both levels, along with a bar on the first floor in the lobby. The design also included a compressed air loop in the warehouse to serve the vehicle lifts and car wrap equipment, along with revising the existing gas lines to serve the new HVAC equipment.
